The Japanese illustrator and mangaka Ryo Kanai is presented to the French public through an art book which brings together a selection of works from his past, present and future production.

A large space is devoted to intense black and white images, from the heroes of the Japanese Middle Ages and other fantastic illustrations; but Kanai is also a very skilled alchemist of color who knows how to give realism and depth to vanished worlds, and to enrich everyday atmospheres with magic to create concept art for series animated by Media Factory.
