The "Macross" series celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2022 since "Super Dimension Fortress Macross" first aired on TV on October 3, 1982. To commemorate its 40th anniversary, we published a book last year that summarizes all the information on the "Macross" series so far, including TV anime, movie versions, and OVAs. That is the TV magazine "Macross Super Encyclopedia".
It was very well received, and the release of this second edition is here. "Super Dimension Fortress Macross Super Encyclopedia" contains "Super Dimension Fortress Macross", "Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?", and "Super Dimension Fortress Macross Flash Back 2012".
The biggest selling point this time was that Ichiro Itano, the anime director, special skills director, and anime artist who created the three-dimensional and acrobatic anime Itano Circus, drew the Armored Valkyrie for the first time in 40 years. As you can see from the cover illustration, the dynamism and posing of the missile are of the same quality as in yesteryear.
