A mostly black and white catalog for an exhibit of American Illustration held at the Brooklyn Museum March 22 to May 14, 1972. There are some color plates scattered throughout. Jessie Willcox Smith, N.C. Wyeth, Frank C. Herbst, Peter Max, Ben Shahn, George Petty and many others are included. 154 pages includes bibliography and capsule biographies of the illustrators.
